Gotta go 5 stars. Spotless inside. Very clean. Friendly service. Fresh sliced cold cuts. Had a turkey and swiss bagel sandwich. Good amount of turkey! Can't really comment on a bagel when used for a sandwich but it tasted great and had some good texture. Need to try one with crram cheese next time. Will definitely be back.

I'm with my daughter's school's PTA in the neighborhood, and I walked into this bagel shop on Monday to see if I could secure a breakfast or coffee donation of any kind for a last minute event the PTA was asked to prepare for the school. The owner was more than happy to oblige, and by Wednesday morning, I had a beautiful tray of tasty, pre-sliced bagels, and a carrier box of coffee. The teachers, staff, and guests were happy with the food and the presentation. We thank you very much for your kind and considerate donation, as it shows an appreciation for one of the things we care most about- community.

My family and I stop into Bagel Factory Cafe on Morristown Road just about every week, and it never disappoints. Their rye and everything bagels are the real deal — that classic taste that's hard to find. The crumb cake is worth picking up too if you haven't tried it. The staff is always welcoming and gets you in and out fast, which you appreciate on a busy morning.
What really stands out, though, is how they give back.

They've been generous supporters of the Husky Track program at Matawan High School, and that kind of community involvement means a lot. If you're looking for a great local bagel shop in Matawan, this is the one to go to.
